The Friends of the Middlesex Fells is always interested learning more about the park's past. Let us know if you have memories, experiences, or photos you would like to share. We try to run a history article in every issue of our quarterly newsletter as well history postings on our website.

It doesn't have to be 18th or 19th century history, though they is always welcome. Recently people have shared with us photos of the Lawrence Observatory that until the 1950's stood on Ramshead Hill in the Lawrence Woods section of the Fells.

Thanks to a reader of our newsletter, we learned the mysterious 15 ft square "wall" on a south facing Rock Circuit Trail summit is the remains of a Geodetic Observatory built by MIT in 1899.

I would be especially interested in stories and photos on the subject of Fells wildlife.
